Sierra Nuvo Project progress

Featuring a full height Skywell and rooftop terraces for sustainability, ventilation and light, the Sierra Nuvo Apartments have been a close collaboration with the developer and the builder.

Bulk Excavation Complete

Bulk Earthworks completed for Sierra Nuvo

Our recent news article from June announced the Minor Change Approval for Sierra Nuvo incorporating a redraw of the building’s internals into a P&E court decision approval.

One of the commercially substantial changes to the original design, that doesn’t always make for a beautiful marketing render, is the substantial simplification of the basement design to achieve an increased carparking yield and fundamentally improved equitable access and service vehicle arrangements at the cross-over within the same maximum depth of excavation. At the same time, the extent of the carpark has been reduced to increase the deep planting buffers against the adjoining boundaries with a corresponding reduction in the extent of bulk excavation stepping up to a marked simplification of the retention system.

This month the news is that KJ Construction have now completed the bulk excavation portion of the works ahead of schedule.

In September, Sierra Nuvo was also featured in Domain’s article about Highgate Hill, one of Brisbane’s most tightly held suburbs.
