In 2008, mining engineering company, Ausenco, decided to centralise all of their Brisbane operations into one new headquarters in South Brisbane. The 6 storey, 14,600m²office building quickly became a landmark in the area with its copper coloured facade and dominant street presence. The project involved tight integration and coordination of services in a compact floor to floor envelope and POWE Architects’ ability to resolve much of the coordination virtually, before works commenced on site, saved significant time and cost for the contractor and client.
