POWE Architects has continued to grow, evolve and respond to market conditions since its inception in early 1999. The practice has transformed to the point where Len can now concentrate on the important early design phases for all projects undertaken by the POWE Architects team.

When Len isn’t hard at work or tutoring students, he is usually spending time with his family and friends enjoying good wine, going camping, taking his boat out fishing, travelling overseas, going to live music concerts or listing to his favourite bands: The Clash, XTC, Pink Floyd, Elvis Costello and Little Feat.

Professional experience

Len guides the design process and ensures that the clients are fully involved and completely satisfied with the design outcomes. Len maintains a “hands-on” approach to project and client management throughout all stages of the project delivery process and enjoys working with clients that respect and encourage good building design solutions. Len particularly embraces the challenge of designing complex buildings and POWE Architects is currently developing a reputation and expertise in mixed-use developments, blending residential, retail and commercial design principles gained from the completion of many successful projects. Len’s involvement in tutoring at QUT and the AIA SONA Student Mentor Scheme provides great opportunities to pass on his knowledge and experience to the emerging generations of architectural professionals.
